Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Skip Hop Inc. for further instructions on disposal of the product and to receive a refund in the form of a gift card. For more information, consumers can contact Skip Hop Inc. by telephone at 1-800-692-4674 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday or visit the company website. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Skip Hop Inc..

Why it was recalled

The pupil segment (black) of Elmo’s eye on the teether can separate during use if frozen and be a potential choking hazard. As of September 3, 2026, the company has received 3 reports of incident and no reports of injury in Canada. In the United States, there has been 1 report of incident and no reports of injury.
